14u nationals earn a Gold bracket final day

Another snowy weekend for volleyball didn't slow down the 14u National team at the Presidents Day Tournament in Omaha, NE this past weekend.  Starting the tournament off on Saturday with a 6-1 finish set the tone for the weekend.  Unfortunately, one player ended up getting sick and the team was down to 7.  Sunday, the girls were determined to continue the winning by finishing 6-2; taking 2 of the 3 matches to 3 sets.  The last two matches were tough, with one more of the girls starting to feel sick, but finishing out the night.  With the strong finish Saturday, the team earned their spot in the Gold bracket for day 3.  Going into their 1st match with only 6 girls; minus their setter, they put up a great fight, but unfortunately lost to the Swede Volleyball Club in 2 sets.

A fabulous showing this weekend by the 14u National team, continuing to play hard in every set, every day.  Congrats to the coaches and girls.
